Dr. Sanam Gupta received the degree of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, a 5 and half year degree in 2008 from Baba Farid University, India. She got 3rd rank at All India level Master’s Degree Entrance test examination and got scholarship for her 3 years Master’s Degree course in Holistic Nutrition and Integrative Medicine from renowned Government Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, in 2011. Her thesis work was on clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of Ayurvedic Diet and lifestyle management in Heart disorders with special reference to Stable Angina. She did a diet certificate course from Harvard University in 2020 and a Panchakarma diploma course from Mumbai. She is a member of Canadian Ayurveda Member Alliance Organization and also a member of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists of Canada.
Her specialization is in chronic disorders, menstrual disorders, geriatric care, maternal and baby care, skin concerns, digestive issues, neurological and metabolic disorders. She begins with digestion and incorporates diet, lifestyle and most importantly- state of mind to gain a greater understanding of the whole person. Through psycho- spiritual approach, she helps each client come to greater understanding and acceptance of life and all its circumstances in order to facilitate the healing process. She formulated her own herbal products for skin and hair concerns.
She worked at Govt. Ayurvedic College Patiala as an Assistant professor from 2012 to 2015 and also help many students to prepare their Master’s Degree entrance test examination.
From 2015 to 2018, She was Director at Lethbridge Ayurveda Centre, From 2018 to 2022, She worked as Ayurvedic Consultant at Holistic Ayurveda Institute Ottawa.
She taught online courses in partnership with Maharishi University, U.S.A., and a one-semester course at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, Ottawa. She also worked as an Ayurvedic Consultant at Holistic Ayurveda Institute and Wellness Centre Ottawa. She presented a paper on Heart Disorders at the Annual National Ayurveda Conference hosted by CAMA in Brampton, ON. During her extensive travel, she delivered lectures and offered consultations on Ayurveda for health professionals and for the general public. She organized various workshops at Yoga centers, International Festivals in India, Alberta and Ontario.
